Hurdler Athlete – Resilience & Performance – NCAA Fall 2026 Prospect
MY STORY
I started athletics at the age of 8, attracted by the speed, the technique, but above all by the challenge of clearing each hurdle. Very quickly, it became more than a sport—it was a way to learn how to fight, to structure myself, to grow. From my first competitions, I knew I wanted to go far.
Between 2019 and 2021, my performance improved rapidly. I competed in my first French Championships and finished fourth. I was ranked among the top seven in the world of my generation in the 110m hurdles. I was then invited to several national training camps with the French youth team. At that point, everything seemed to be opening up. But what followed was very different.
Between 2022 and 2024, my daily life as an athlete was disrupted by severe kidney failure. My health led to numerous injuries, sacrifices, and the postponement of my NCAA project. Despite everything, I continued to train as much as possible, until I had to prepare for a transplant. A few weeks before the operation, I ran 7.84s in the 60m hurdles at 106cm, despite extreme fatigue and no training. This performance remains for me a symbol of resilience.
After a successful transplant, I began a complete rehabilitation: physiotherapy, swimming, weight training, gradual return to the track... with a single goal in mind: to come back stronger, but also more lucid about what this sport represents for me.
Today, I'm preparing to return to the NCAA in the fall of 2026. My goal is to join a university program that believes in my potential as much as in my story. I want to combine high-level athletics with sports management studies to build a solid future—not just as an athlete, but as a professional in the sports world.
